I am a an earth sciences student with a strong interest in computer science related topics.
I have done datacenter related work (ITIL) and written specialized software to handle the dependancies between different services.
I have also written many programs related to such different topics as callcenter organization and computer integrated telephony, distributed data gathering in disconnected settings with multiple masters and partioned data, sophisticated GIS applications and automated report generation from face to face polls and polls conducted via telephone and internet.
I try to use open source systems and technologies whenever it is a viable option. The most important tools in my toolbox are ubuntu, a Linux distribution based on Debian Linux, PostgreSQL, gcc, python, Qt, SQLAlchemy and PyQt.
